Description
This attractive village of honey coloured stone houses is justly claimed to be
one of the most perfect in the Cotswolds. Wander through the village at leisure
taking in the beautiful architecture. Visit the local church which has some quirky
features such as the grooves on the back of the pews where the shepherds used
to tie their dogs. Stanton sits on the Cotswold Way, a 97 mile walk through some of the most beautiful of Cotswold countryside taking in panoramic views of the
Severn Vale. On the Cotswold escarpment, high above Stanton, lies Shenberrow Camp
an Iron Age Hill Fort where you can see some of the local ancient heritage.
